on the banks of the Marne and at the crossroads of 3 different vineyards,
La Touraine Champenoise was created in 1907 by Justin and Eugénie
SCHOSSELER and was originally a family-run hotel. It welcomed both
travellers and local workers, who contributed to the modernisation
of our region at the beginning of the century. |
It

SCHOSSELER, an ambitious and creative only son, along with his wife
Olga, a brilliant cook, gave a new character to their establishment
in the 1920s, changing its name to the Hotel du Commerce. For a

and Antoinette, the third generation of the family, then took over
in the 1970s and gave the place a charming inn style, naming it
La Touraine Champenoise. The gastronomic talents of Antoinette
quickly gained the respect of contemporary culinary experts. She
was responsible for building the great reputation of the inn, which
is now carried on by her daughter Martine, aided by the chef and
his capable team.
